Problems

The Hagenbeck Zoo is home to many different species of wildlife. That means that there is a high pressure of animals that can affect the grow of the floating wetlands.

Solutions

100 m2 of AquaFlora Floating Wetlands were installed in the margins of a pond and in the base of the construction to provide aesthetic aspects to the site.

The width of the floating wetlands was big enough to prevent instable conditions, due to the different development of the plants.

Results

The use of good developed pre-planted mats and gabion protection allow the vegetation a successful growth and the full covering of the construction base.
